TomTom 910 is showing red X when started

Looks like my 910 may have some hard drive problems. Unit stopped working in a middle of a song. I tried to reboot it and after 5 min. same thing happened, 910 went off again. Now, when I reboot the system, all I can see is little picture of a hard drive and big red X. Has anybody had anything like that happened? And is this fixable?

This looks as if the system is corrupt.
Back up all your files using windows explorer.
Format your tomtom, deleting all files and folders from the device.
Run Tomtom Home so it downloads a new application.
Start the Tomtom as stand alone, and let it run till you get an error with regards to the map.
Reconnect to PC and copy over your map folder from your backup.
Disconnect from PC, do a reset, turn it on, all should now work as normal

I have had this happen and found it to be the flat ribbon cable from the hard drive had come loose and moved slightly, after reseating it was fine.
