Looks like it means detailed coverage of Moscow would be in the map for the 930 only: Quote:

Agreed. I live in Moscow and there are plenty of drivers with satnav devices, which contain detailed maps of St P and Moscow. It appears that the model I brought with me from Australia will not support the maps provided by Tom Tom.

I am living in St. Petersburg and recently purchased a TomTom Go 930 from the US. It has about 5% coverage of the city. It stinks. I called and TomTom just said "Sorry". I have heard if you purchase the units in Russia they have the maps preloaded but you can't get them from the US. If you want coverage of St. Petersburg, Russia, don't buy a TomTom.

Hi. I also wanted to go to St. Petersburg. I have Ndrive map, but I'm not sure if it will wotk. I know that there exists something like Autosputnik map. It is possible to find in Internet but I can't show You where (it would be pirating). I will try next week both of them.

Russia is impossible to be covered in 100% in details. It's too big and a lot of terrain is not populated. But 5% coverage of the city really stinks ;D I saw something like Autosputnik. It's quite good but I didn't spend a lot of time using that. I was using mostly my NDrive V3 there and Ihave found my way in Petersburg (it's 119MB big). btw. What's that satnav? |
