I cant get my TomTom to stay put.

I just bought a TomTom ONE device today...and I nearly crashed into a ditch on my first test drive with it.

Granted, I have no experience with these things. I thought I had it all figured out, except for one thing...getting the device to stay stuck to the mount, which is still on my windshield at present. When I first drove out with it, it immediately popped off of the mount, and bounced off the dashboard into my seat, distracting me.

I've heard of the usual remedies, the rubbing alcohol and what have you, and I'll try that...but if the suction cup is gonna have problems like this right out of the box, I may have to look for another solution...

If anyone has any suggestions as to how to make this thing stay put, I'd love to hear them.

Two things.
First, and I know it's dumb but you will be suprised. Did you remove the protective film from the suction cup?
Second, did you ensure your screen was clean and wet the suction cup before fitting?

Ok, I figured it out. It turns out I wasn't turning the dial to tighten the seal. It's working much better now.
