which Tomtom for both US & European

I plan to get a GPS device, mostly used in US, but occasionally I will travel to Europe (several countries). I just need a basic GPS with text-to-speech that get me to the destination. No bells & whistle needed.

The high-end Tomtom 920 has both US & European maps pre-loaded, but it's too expensive.

I am thinking about Tomtom ONE XL-S which is what I just need. However I am not sure the XL-S is usable in Europe. It seems XL-S is for US only. I wonder if I can get European maps loaded on SD card, plug in the XL-S for use in Europe.

Indeed you can get maps for the TT One XL-S over @ TomTom's site...

They have different EU maps depending on where you are going. See link below.
