GPS system in web application.

Hi All,
I am completely newbie in GPS system. I want to create one web application in ASP.NET which will give me my location through GPS system. I want to create this on my PC. I want to use C# 2.0 or 3.5 for this.
So want to ask you that is it possible? And how I can start the same?
I would appreciate if anybody please help me in this.

Thanks,
Sanjay.

Re: GPS system in web application.

All you need is a serial connection to any GPS hockey puck. You don't need a complete GPS, but you need the antenna/puck (example: Amazon.com: Garmin 18x PC GPS Navigator Unit: Electronics). The puck provides coordinates continuously. Once you write a serial capture program you should be able to decode the strings fairly easily. The hardest part (in my opinion) is simply the capture and then deciding what you want the display to look like.

Good luck, welcome to the site.
