Please add MIO or windowsCE

Hi, Now that I gave up my NAVIGON for a MIO [winCE 5.0] I'd like to see a place for discussing this brand or style. your choice...

Thanks

I have a MIO C230 BTW.

Re: Please add MIO or windowsCE

Thanks eg, we're looking into bringing something like this live shortly. Just trying to figure out how to classify it since it's a few manufacturers that do the same unit (mio/jensen/at least one more).

Could call it WinCE devices, but then I fear we'll get PDA runover

And this would be a bad thing?

I've been looking at what is available on PDA's and even cell phones. It is starting to exceed what is available on a stand-alone GPS. Not only has all the GPS capabilities, but online access at the same time for realtime map updates and routing. Pretty impressive.

I suggest a WindowsCE group, and just make sure it is understood it is for GPS related topics.

hmmm... is bluetooth related to GPS?

edit to add: you do already have a mobile phone section. Maybe you just need to expand that?

How about call it Windows CE GPS! wince based GPSs do differ form PPC GPSs in that they weren't intended to have any other use... Even if MIOs can be unlocked

I just got a c230. I figured it was easier than taking the laptop everywhere, I use MS Street & Trips and GPS with it.
