| 'tis the season for seat time | Cohutta's phonecalls...
Anyone here even pay remote attention to MTV's Real World Sydney? Disclaimer: I personally am annoyed by 'reality' shows, too much facade and not enough reality. Somehow the main screen in my household seems to drift to mtv's latest 'real' offering or the Food network anytime the remote is not within my immediate reach. At least the Real World has been doing it long enough that their editing brings out alot of the details, which even not being interested in the show - catches my attention. One of these details is this dude Cohutta. Yeah yeah, I'm straight and all, and sure there is tons of T&A I could drawl on about, but I'm talking about something that doesen't occur every 13 seconds in the show. The dude has a pretty funny way about him and his simple views on things. He comes out with some of the more comedic elements of the show whether or not he means to. But, the last few episodes I have realized his calls home are straight money, and where his humor gets a bit more traction. It's not the annoying kid calling and bugging his parents sort of thing, he actually calls with serious questions and discussions for people like his Grandfather. Im sure it's played up or staged to a degree, but it's done well if so. Tonight he called Granddad and asked him about "if a girl you were sleeping with for a few months, was booty dancing in a club with another dude, how right is that?" (or something close to it). The response is not what you'd expect either, wacky people but pretty funny. Yeah I do a crappy job rolling it out, and there are many other phonecalls of which to speak, but I thought I'd see if I was the only one that picked up on these gems. |

I think I watched a few episodes the very first season of Real World. I don't know, not my thing.

![]() I'm much the same way, and if I happen to catch a show it's usually when I am laying in bed and she puts something on. But since I've been working from home the past month or so I've taken over the living room a bit and now this other crap is starting to rot my brain. ![]() Plus unless it's in HD I feel like I am watching TV through a screendoor, and that bugs me. I've become somewhat of a signal snob after working with HD stuff and becoming used to it. But since I don't watch tv enough I can't justify all the HD upgrade packages etc. ..sort of a catch 22 I guess. | |

I dated her before she was famous, let's leave it at that. Hells kitchen is ok, but it's about food...I must admit any chance I get away from the food network or MTV is a moment I have to treasure, so I typically end up on Discovery channel

recovering?? doesn't sony have a support group for that. i know what you mean. i was a hardcore game geek until i realized i was spending 20+ hours a week glued to the PC. i made the mistake of letting my kid (now 13) cut his teeth on duke nukem at the tender age of 5. my wife flipped out when he ran to tell her that there were "girls dancing in their underwear". now i can't get him away from the console. and yes COD 4 i2 his favorite.
