Navigon 2100 Traffic upgrade

The Navigon 2100 offers extra cost upgrades. I bought the traffic upgrade and followed all the procedures to obtain the code key that activates the traffic function. To make a long story short, the product does not provide me with a unlock key but the Navigon site software tells me I have a bad Product ID (this is the ID code you get from the 2100 unit itself). I have checked my letters and numbers several times but I am having no luck. Navigon CS tells me to return the upgrade card to the seller. This is impractical as Navigon has announced they are withdrawing from the US market so no retailer is going to refund or exchange anything to do with Navigon because they can't be sure the company (Navigon) will stand behind their product. Can anyone offer any assistance? Any tricks, phone numbers, involved congressmen - anything, so I can get what I have paid for?
