| Problem in GPS Connectivity
Hi .. I am using HP iPAQ 612 GPS-enabled mobile device running the mscape player. I found no problem in GPS connection. Now recently I find the GPS not getting connected. When I start the Mscape player, It tells me to select different port for GPS connectivity. Here is the folowing message that is displyed in my device: Please select the Com Port your GPS is connected to. 0: Disabled 1: Port not present 2: Serial 2 3: Port not present 4: Serial on USB 5: USB DIAG 6: USB GPS 7: RIL on COM7: 8: Port not present 9: USB VCOM If I select COM 7, Then is says like, " No GPS device could be detected on COMPort 7" What are the settings to be done for GPS? What connection should be done inorder to get the GPS connection back. Please help me to solve this problem... |

I am not familiar with your device, but I would see if there is a settings menu for the GPS, it may have the information you seek. Are you sure it has GPS built in? Try 6: USB GPS (And every other choice till one works). |
