Conversion rinex to trimble's raw data file

Hello,

I have ASHTECH as material, after conversion ASHTECH files into RINEX format I process them in different software, TGO and LGO for example.

Unfortunately my client wants the delivery of trimble's raw files or Leica.

Is there anyone among you who can help me to convert rinex to trimble's raw files (extension .dat)

Is there anyone among you who can help me avoid the loss of my client or the only solution is to purchase new hardware!?

THX

A tool like this would be unreliable at best. I understand that you need to satisfy your client's request, but it may be worth trying to educate your client regarding the adoption of RINEX as a GPS/GNSS data exchange standard. RINEX data is accepted by nearly every post-processing package, including Trimble Geomatics Office (etc.), and is the preferred format for generic data supply by government and NGO agencies worldwide.

Good luck.

That's not going to happen. You are not going to be able to convert Rinex back to Trimble.

It would also be obvious your client would have the intention of forcing you to use Trimble hardware. Maybe your client needs to bring themselves up to date with the real world?

I agree with the previous answers. No way that I know of, to translate from RINEX to proprietary RAW (.dat for trimble for this instance). The only reason I see why your client request the Trimble *.dat files would be that he wants to have the original files for data integrity reasons, as the RINEX files can be tempered with (or just could have been edited).GNSS said, to force you to purchase the Trimble equipment, that also possible but I doubt it is the the reason.
You can try with your client to assure him that the RINEX files are the results of a direct translation by providing in your delivery a Surveyor's report certifying for the original integrity of the data in the RINEX file and , eventually, providing the original Ashtech raw file(s) in your delivery. Sign and seal your Surveyor's report. In the case you have edited the RINEX files I suggest, if he agrees, that you provide both RINEX files (non-edited and edited with different names and state so in your certified report.
Good Luck. Kader
