Magellan GPS 315 SDK

Hello-
I started using a Magellan GPS 315 for biking to track my speed, distance, etc. I was wondering if there is a SDK or API or another way for me to add a screen to the GPS to keep track of the data I want to see. Standard bike computer stuff like elapsed time, average speed, trip distance, and max speed. It would also be nice to record the altitude so I can upload to my pc. And maybe override the Nav or Quit buttons to start/stop the elapsed time. Some of that seems standard on current GPS's. Yeah I know I could just buy a bike computer for $20 but where's the fun in that?! I'm a software developer and am looking for a new project. If someone can let me know if this is possible and/or point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,
Jeff
