Magellan 5310 - restoring system files on TFAT

I stupidly wiped my the contents of the "TFAT" flash memory on my 5310 before I had a chance to make a backup.

Magellan currently has only one update for this model: Magellan_Maestro_5310_4_72_Rel2
There are 7 folders, plus an installer. The installer doesn't work because it cannot find my GPS (even though I can see and modify the internal flash drive).

It looks like the mapping software and other critical utilities are present in this update, but I don't know which files go where since the folders are COPY_GROUP_1, COPY_GROUP_2, ... , COPY_GROUP 7.

Could someone with a working GPS post the file structure of system files? I have a separate map upgrade SD card, so I'm assuming that once the core files are in place I can reinstall my maps.

Re: Magellan 5310 - restoring system files on TFAT

Have you down loaded magellans content manager and tried the update
with that.
It is a free down load, and if you have your 5310 registered with
magellan it may take care of it.JUST A QUESS,worth a try.
The content manager doesn't list my 4370 as being compatable
but it works great for down loads and updates automatically.
let me know if it works.
