| Magellan exclude window
Have been using my Magellan 3225 for about a year and notice that suddenly, during a trip, a maneuver will appear with the notice "exclude" below. I don't know what this means or how to use it - it wasn't always there, I'm certain. Can someone fill me in? Thanks....

I spoke to our Product manager of Vehicle Navigation and this is the first time he has heard of this. If possible, it would be best if you can upgrade the firmware to the most recent update. You can find the update from our homepage at Magellan GPS-Your favorites at your fingertips!.

That is very odd! I do have the latest update - 4.72 - and I have no idea what the "exclude" means! |

Can you post a screenshot? Is the window preventing you from navigating or using your device properly?

I have no idea how to post a screen shot from my GPS! This message only appears while I am en route to my destination - I can't MAKE it appear. And if I touch the exclude word, it goes back to my route, but I don't really know if it has changed the route or if it's the original route. I don't think this model has any traffic info.

I will definitely look more into this for you. Do you have a digital camera? Can you get someone to take the picture next time it happens? I want to know if this is just some sort of settings issue that can be easily fix or a specific issue with your unit. If so, then we will need to see what we can do to fix it.

I never know when it's going to happen, so will just have to carry my digital camera at all times. (And hope I'm the passenger at that moment)! If, in the meantime, you get any more info, please notify me. Thanks.

If you tap on a street in the list of maneuvers (accidently or deliberately) the "exclude" will appear. If you tap on it, the GPS will recalculate the route, excluding the street you have indicated. But if you tap on the back arrow, the original route will reappear. I did some research and found the answer - thought you'd want to know.
