Magellan 1470 - Coordinates

Is it possible to type coordinates into a Magellan Roadmate 1470? I would like to be able to do this to use it to find Geocaches. If it is possible, I'd sure appreciate step-by-step instructions on how to do it.

I also own a Garmin 60CSx, so having the right tool isn't the issue.

Hello Gary,

Sadly, the Magellan Roadmate 1470 does not have that feature. Sorry.

Re: Magellan 1470 - Coordinates

But you can browse the map and with the "push-pin" feature go to places that are not street addresses. You will see the latitude/longitude coordinates when you place a push-pin on the map. It's good for precisely locating a place where street number interpolation dis not accurate. Not good for geocaching but it is a useful feature that is not explained.

Re: Magellan 1470 - Coordinates

Thank you both for the information. My hope was that there would be some way directly type coordinates in. The push-pin option may offer some possibilities in the future. I'm still learning how to use both of them. They're each for a different purpose, and the Garmin is much more difficult to learn how to use.
