Help with Megallan GPS

I have been using a Garmin GPS for quite some time now for which maps for India is available with me which are in .img format. I recently bought a Megallan GPS Model SE 4 with pre-loaded maps for the US. The maps in this device are stoted in .imi format. Have confirmed from Megellan that they dont supply maps for India as yet. Could anybody help me with maps for India for the Megellan device. Alternately is there any way i can convert the Garmin maps into Megellan compatible format.

I have figured out converting the non NT format OSM map into IMI format for Magellan. Could anybody help with the procudure for loading the map into Magellan SE4. Thanks

Thanks Max, atleast for trying to help. I wrote to Magellan who confirmed that at present they dont have maps for my country, which means the Magellan GPS would just be of no use. I'am quite new in this field and was just trying a hand. Thanks a lot once again.
