Tracks stored on my Magellan Meridian Color

I apologize if this is a noobie question. On my GPS I have tracks all over the place. I want my tracks to have a beginning and end. With the software (TOPO Canada) I can eliminate the redudancy but it is one continous long track. My GPS tries to connect them into a continious line. It's super annoying. Because I use it in multiple different areas there are confusing intersecting lines on my GPS. I tried using routes but maybe I am doing it wrong. I doesnt follow my tracks, it connects the dots from waypoints. Is there anyway to make your tracks have a beginning and end???

Re: Tracks stored on my Magellan Meridian Color

My Meridian color died 3 years ago. I used the streets & maps. If I recall, I saved the tracks to a file, then cleared the active track. Occasionally I uploaded the tracks to my PC, then deleted the tracks in the unit.
Hope this helps.
