Hi Folks, I'm new to this forum. I have been a GPS user for years - well since 2001. In the last day I purchased a Garmin Nuvi 765 - well 2 actually - the first one was almost DOA in that when you powered it up it would simply lock itself into a reboot sequence. Within 3 hours of purchase the dealer replaced it with a new one - new sealed box. Well unit number 2 gives the message "unable to calculate route" for anything more than 20 Km from my location. I'm about to go back to the dealer and this time try to change it for a Nuvi 500 - unless any of you folks have war stories about that unit. please tell thanks Martyn in Australia |

Update - less than 48 hours after the initial purchase I got a 100% refund from the dealer. FWIW Garmin help line said they had never heard of the "Unable to calculate route" problem and they suggested I ask for a refund. I was just too hard for them! Martyn |
