Hi everyone! Just joined this forum. Background: I'm a 68 yr old bike rider that just moved to a new area that I am really unfamiliar with. So, I feel that I really need a GPS so I don't get lost while exploring this area. My problem is twofold: First, I have hearing aids (deep in the canal type) in both ears. I'm assuming that this would prevent me from using a Blue Tooth System, such as what is found on the Garmin Zumo 550.
Is this correct? If need be, I can always take one of those hearing aids out, but would prefer not to if I didn't have to. The other issue I have is that the Zumo 550 is really very expensive.
Is there another, less expensive system that would enable me to use ear buds to hear the commands, recognizing that I would also need to remove the hearing aids with this, as well? Does the Zumo 450 allow you to attache an ear bud(s)? If the Zumo 550 is really the best way to go, then I'll go ahead & purchase it.
If so, what is the feedback on the best (read least expensive) place to purchase it?
THANKS TO ALL FOR YOUR FEEDBACK!
