Intro and question on new unit?

I have a GPSmap 76CSx with several SD cards for back packing and Marine use. I also use it in the car.
I want to buy a unit to replace my old color street pilot III for the car.
I want the unit to be able to take the mini SD cards that I use in the handheld that I have.
Nowhere do I see any reference to being able to use these cards in the Nuvi series.
Suggestions?

You need to start a new thread on this subject.

Are the SD cards ones you bought preloaded or did you use Mapsource/Mapinstall to copy map data onto a blank SD card?

Re: Intro and question on new unit?

Are they products that had to be unlocked for your 76CSx like City Navigator? If so, they are only usable on 1 device. So you won't be able to move them to the new device without buying them again. They use to offer unlocks for 2 devices per map product but Navteq changed their licensing and makes Garmin pay for every device it's used in.

If they were the preloaded map SD cards that Garmin sells, then you could have moved them from device to device.
