New to the Forum - Owner Garmin Nuvi 350

While I have borrowed my sisters GPS (Garmin 2620) several times, I finally got one of my own for Christmas. A Garmin Nuvi 350 - great GPS for the price!

I do have one question, how do you set import CDs with Album information and song titles, etc. I have converted my music to Mp3 and copied and created a playlist, but while the music shows up, I can't browse by album.

Re: New to the Forum - Owner Garmin Nuvi 350

Welcome to the site, Ken.
I don't normally care about the viewing capabilities on the nüvi, I just let it play randomly.

But you made me curious, so I took a song off my computer that I know has cover art and put it on the SD card and plugged it in.

It found the song fine, it let me display the album information okay, but no cover art.

But to answer your actual question, there is a big "Browse" button in the middle of my menu bar on the bottom (this is Tools-Media Player). Nüvi 750. If you don't have that button, then perhaps the 350 does not support that function?

I think the problem may be with the way I imported the songs from my CDs into Mp3 files. What software program did you use?

Yes, I have a browse button.

Re: New to the Forum - Owner Garmin Nuvi 350

I don't import them. I maintain my MP3s in Windows Media Player. Then I just use Windows File Explorer to drag-and-drop them into the MP3 directory on the SD card (which I put in a card reader, since that is faster than connecting the GPS via USB).

If there is album information included on the MP3 the GPS automatically puts it in the album list.

It may be where you are putting the files. They do need to be put in the proper directory on the GPS or it won't find them.

Good luck.
