| Magellan Explorist 500
Received the unit as a gift ,apparently the maps do not come with it . How do I get them with out Paying 149.00 from Magellan? Does anyone know of a place to buy maps. Used New etc.. The Magellan Explorist series was discontinued last year, so while your unit is "obsolete", you may still be able to find mapping at a decent price. I recommend checking out the consignment pages, such as on eBay. Some companies offer space on their websites for buying and selling GPS units and accessories. Just check some local retailers, and online.  |

i should have said dissapointed that i will have to pay to get what someone paid for as a gift.. retailer lied about this being the top of the line....to a family member. Poor sales manship, but Hey thanks for the info on where to find maps.. |
