| Looking for a GPS and know zero. Please help
I hope I am not being ridiculous but I am trying to find out if the following features exist in any GPS. I will list in order of preference. 1. Must be portable with reasonable batt life and fairly large screen (Weight is not critical) 2. Must have Bluetooth to act as a speakerphone when installed in vehicle to meet new CA law. 3. Would like it to announce street names. (I have very poor eyesight, I ca drive fine but can no longer read small street signs) 4. Would like to be able to have US Forest Service roads identified or USFS maps on it so I can use it hunting and fishing to know where I am. 5. Would like bread crumb capabilities and way points so I can find the same spot where I saw a deer the next day, etc. I know this is asking a lot but I don't know if anyone makes something like this. Thank you for looking at my request. |

Hmm...I have to ask the famed question...do you want it more for in the car, or more for hunting?

As Max says, some of your desires match handheld units, some match automotive units. So far, none does both. Auto units have horrible battery life, since they expect to be plugged in. And they won't have forest roads. But I don't know if any portables have Bluetooth... what would they use it for? Good luck in the search. Maybe two units? |
