Re: navman f40 internal sd card

I would think that the maps are licenced to the individual devices, meaning, each unit will only run the original map on the licence so swapping maps between devices is not possible.

Re: navman f40 internal sd card

Are all the units UK and Ireland? If not then it will be a licence issue, If yes then are you copying the maps into the correct map folder?

Re: navman f40 internal sd card

Take a copy of the map from the working unit then try copy another map into it, if it works then it looks like it could be an internal drive issue.

Sorry I can't be of more help

The maps of the unit you're transferring to are configured with a checksum of the other unit.

Not that I doubt you, but can you confirm or maybe give a stooge like me a link so I can understand how their mapping system works and is brought into memory?

Curious because everything I just looked up on them seems to indicate the mapping is locked per unit and/or also by the serial of the SD card.
