New to this forum !!

Hi everyone I have been " Into " GPS for about 4 years now my most recent GPS I am useing is the Magellan Maestro 4040 , Which I am Really likeing so far ! I also own a Roadmate 700 and a Meridian Color Hand Held by Megellan . I hope to make a few more posts and Join in a few more too . Take care everyone ... DigupCoins

Hi Maxone of The main useages of My GPS is for my hobby of metal detecting !! ( thats my Nick name " DigupCoins " ) I use the POI on The GPS to find historic sites , once I have found that I look for the " nearest Park POI " That gives me a place to Dig for Coins and rings and relic things, It Really handy For finding parks In new towns that i travel to.!!

That is what I figured, but had to ask That is another cool use for these...I forget sometimes the broad spectrum of usage these devices can be used for.

So I have to ask - out of the places you have been to thus far, which has been the 'hottest' as far as good findings?

Thanks Max The " hot place for me to Find is the " Beaches" I have a under water Metal Detector !! This Last Summer i have Found about 22 rings and a good 15 Were in the water ( Cold water ... hands shrink .. off comes the rings ) My oldest coin I have found is a 1791 Spanish real ( silver Dollar ) found in a old farm field!
