Hi All! Eric from Reno, NV. I just received a magellan Maestro 3100 from my folks as a gift for the holidays. My first experience with ANY gps was when my dad brought his out here and we tried to map a route to the black rock desert. Well, I thought I knew better and it remapped our route (in his rental car) out 76 miles on a washboard dirt road through a ghost town and desert because "I knew better." QUite the adventure, and the first time i found out we have wild burros this far north. SO, I want to get into Geocaching! Problem is, I don't think the onboard software in this thing will allow me to use coordinates, it only lets me put in addresses and POI's. I elaborated a bit more on the magellan discussion, so as not to clog the introduction, if anyone has some good info (or bad info for that matter)

I work in software engineering - coming from an art/3d background, and I moved out here for the scenery, the lifestyle, and the skiing. So, thats me!
