Hello Out There

My name is Joe from Pleasant Garden NC. I first took an interest in GPS when I bought a Garmin Geko 101. This was about 10 years ago. From then on I have had an endless fascination and appreciation for the capability and power in these little devices.

I am an avid backpacker, hiker, amateur photographer, and enjoy the occasional geocache find.

I cannot believe all the years I ventured out in the woods alone with an old fashioned map and compass!

I have owned: a Garmin Geko 101, a Magellan Explorist 210, a Garmin Etrex Vista HCx, a Magellan Triton 300, and my latest acquisition a Magellan Explorist 610 since August 2011.
