Nextar MN2707

I have a nextar mn2707 which is notorious for lack of support and outdated maps. I can deal with those problems but I downloaded the new P7 software which is supposed to work in both units and now my gps is stuck in the "system scanning" mode. Apparently I'm not alone in this regard upon researching to try and get the original firmware to re-flash. Nextar has a replacement deal to update to a newer one, but from what I understand most of their maps are also outdated so I really don't want to get one of their newer products. I would like the MN2707 firmaware to bring the unit back to life but I can't find it anywhere. Would anyone have the file they could share as it would be much appreciated.
