| Linux distro for Magellan Maestro 4250 GPS?
I'm really interested in installing Linux on a Maestro 4250 GPS unit. It has voice recognition, FM traffic, voice synthesized street announcing, SD card and all of that good stuff but the WinCE interface from the factory is total bullocks. WinCE keeps hanging and you have to reset the device. What a joke! IF map updates become available, they are huge and cost $40+ and the problems don't end there. Has anybody installed mid ubuntu, midinux, or something else similar successfully? And if yes, is it possible to have all of the same functionality? (gps, voice recognition, etc...?) Thanks |
