| Is microsoft streets and trips 2009 good enough for a first time user?
I have never had a GPS and especially not one on a netbook/laptop. Best buy has is for $50 with the GPS. I apologize for making a new thread but I don't mind if the other one is deleted. Anyways, are there significant changes in 2009 vs 2010 version that I should get 2010? I am a very advanced computer user, but un-familiar with GPS terms and such. |

A laptop GPS would be very dangerous to use in a moving vehicle. This option is frequently used as a backup (even prime sometimes) in a boat where the dynamics are vastly different. I think that even some of the manufacturers cause safety problems with there built-ins. I want the GPS screen as high as possible to minimize how much my eyes leave he road. George |
