| Memory card in Nuvi 260
I bought a 2gb standard memory card for my Garmin Nuvi 260. Why do I have to have a memory card at all. If it has to be used for some reason, do I have to also have a card reader/writer. I know its a dumb question.But, thanks for an answer.  |

You can use the card to store additional map data or images for the image viewer.

No, unless you exceed the built-in memory limit. SD card is not "needed". Also, you do not need a card reader to use the SD card, that is simply a quicker way to connect it to your PC. Again, it is not "needed". |

After I install the poi (ala. covered bridges and ala state parks) into my nuvi can I select what category they are under? Or how do I find where they went? Thank ya'll in advance for answering my dumb questions. Ken (aka Bugflatner)

bugflatner, good question. I always assumed you could put them in your own categories, but have never actually tried, so I don't know!  Let us know if you get that to work as you want it to. |
