| Nat'l Geographic compatable with Garmin?
I just saw the National Geographic Backroads Explorer in a local sporting goods place. It says it's compatable with Garmin, but is it really? BTW, I have an Etrex Venture HC.

I don't know what "National Geographic Backroads Explorer" is, but the National Geographic 1:24,000 maps are not Garmin compatible. Wish they were. edit: It looks like the Backroads Explorer lets you create routes on your PC. Those routes can then be uploaded to the Garmin. But not the maps. Note this line from their website: "Magellan Triton series owners can use TOPO! State Series to transfer detailed maps to their GPS receiver." |
