I just got a Nuvi 680 which has an MSN direct receiver and a 12 month trial subscription... I was curious how well it worked for traffic updates ... any comments about your experience with MSN direct would be appreciated.

I can't comment on the MSN traffic, but with my 660, I used the FM traffic updates in the Bay Area. It used it for the 3 month free trial it had and renewed it for a year. I haven't renewed it this year. I found most of the time it would say heavy traffic, delays, where there wasn't one. When there was road construction or an accident it was very helpful, but on general slow downs it's not that up to date. Maybe the MSN traffic service is better.

Got an Nuvi 880 some weeks back, used the MSN service in the greater Miami area.
Found most of the time we would be told heavy traffic, delays, where there wasn't one, might have been a while before we approached the area.
When there was road construction the information was very helpful, but often for accidents we would still get information even after traffic was back to normal and for general slow downs information given were not that up to date.
