Best GPS For Me?

I want to buy a GPS, but I am afraid of ending up with the wrong device. My only requirements is that it has maps for the US (Alaska, Hawaii, and outlying territories don't matter), that it has text-to-voice, and that it is under $150 USD. Budget can be stretched an extra 20 bucks if it has a significant change in the product quality, but I think 150$ should be okay.

Thanks.

Re: Best GPS For Me?

I'm in the same boat. I travel a lot for my business and I just want something fairly inexpensive in case it gets lost/broken.

I don't really care about accuracy of points-of-interest. Just that it be able to find a street address (I usually find out where I want to go and plug in the address).

The only real requirement I want is that the unit shows me which direction (i.e. left or right) my next turn will be well in advance.

With your budget, I would look on Ebay.

Re: Best GPS For Me?

You should be able to get a Nuvi 260w for ~220$ in the not too distant future. Or a 750 for close to that...sometime soon.

Re: Best GPS For Me?

I'm gonna try to go for the Garmin nubi 205w because I can get it for only $200 and seems to be very good. It doesn't have exact text-to-speech, but I'm okay with that.
