Sony NV-U83 - problems importing phonebook

Hi,

I have just 'upgraded' a faulty U53 to a U83, and I have so far spent four hours this evening, trying, without success, to import a phone book. I first tried with my SE K850i, which connected by bluetooth, appears to send the phonebook over, but then nothing appears on the U83. I then, with a lot of hassle, via Outlook, transferred my SE phonebook to a Nokia N82, which, once again, connected OK to the U83, and appears to send the data across, but then only one contact appears. I don't know what to try next, but this is extremely frustrating, as there's no reason that I can see why it shouldn't work. Has anyone managed to successfully import a phone book into one of these, and if so, how did you do it?

I'm equally miffed that it seems I have to buy another cradle to receive TMC - at nearly the cost of the bloody sat nav again! I bought this, because I'm a big Sony fan, but I'm starting to wonder if I made the right choice.

Any help appreciated!

Sorry about your luck, I haven't had any experience with the Sony interface

I have the Sony NV-U83T and its working fine. I use the Bluetooth connection to transfer the Phonebook from my cell phone. Also the cradle has the TMC receiver built in - you may have to connect the supplied antenna for better reception if you need to.
