Ah, that "Canada" requirement changed my probable recommendation completely.
Since I have no idea which models include Canada maps, and are also available for purchase in Canada, I am not able to offer a choice.
Welcome to the site, hopefully someone else will come along with good ideas! |

Look on Ebay, I have picked up a Mio p550 with 2G hard drive which I loaded IGO2006SE USA/Canada 07/2007 onto it, Unit had a small dent in the screen that cannot even be seen when the unit is on. Cost me $170 US.

Although it does say North America, not United States, so maybe if I had bothered to think about it... |

TomTom 6 has the smoothest refresh rates, IGO (I got to replace TomTom as it's maps were newer) is the next best and Mobile XT with NT2009 is the worst. This SD card will only be used if IGO fails me in any new construction zones.

Can I ask, do you work for IGO or are you just a very devout fan?
(I'll save you the trouble - no I don't work for Garmin, or any major GPS manufacturer )

I'm just a toy nut, I have tried nearly all available PDA capable software packages. I work for none but enjoy playing will all. I only comment on what I see. Hope someone finds my writings helpful.
I would say that if TomTom would come out with a map upgrade for navigator 6 I would push them ahead of IGO.

PDA nav has been my weak point cause I've never had one with GPS or felt like adding the BT dongles to get it. I've also only had WinMob/Smartphone devices since my Palm T3, which might explain it.
I defintely appreciate any and all points of view, especially when it comes to things I'm still gray on.
It's sort of funny, I say I can't justify spending on a $$$ PDA that I won't use for anything but GPS but then I spend just as much on a GPS . I think it's the single source-purpose built thing that gets me.
I don't use the XM,MP3,Photo viewer on my Nuvi/Zumo's all that much, and I could care less that my Q9m has Documents to Go on it as long as it rings and lets me check email.
Yes, I also have line modem, router, and switch in my house too. . I never did like all those integrated devices.
In any event, I gotta go see what I can do to get the TT client on my Smartphone maybe since it sounds like IGO will kill it.
