Basic GPS with free map updates

Hi,
I am looking for a basic entry level GPS with no bells and whistles. However, I am looking for one with free map updates.

Does any one know of such a GPS in the market?

Hmm, I think that is like asking Hewlett Packard for an inexpensive printer with free ink refills.

The real money for the GPS companies lies in selling maps. They need recurring income. A GPS might last for years, but some people will feel a need to update their map every year.
