Re: What brand(s) of GPS do you own?

I've never used anything but Garmin. I figured that learning one company's technology, would make life simpler, than trying to learn several different brands, plus, Garmin does have a pretty good reputation, in the area of GPS.

Re: What brand(s) of GPS do you own?

I have a Garmin 260, Navigon 7200T, and recently got a Cydle T43H. The Cydle has incredibly clear graphics, free HD radio, free TMC traffic, MP3/Movie player, themes for day/night views, and junction view. So far, I like the Cydle best. The Navigon is my second choice.

I agree with you. I only use the T43H for getting me from here to there. It just happened to have those options on it.

I have OnStar in my truck.

Why wasn't OnStar on the list?

Hey, don't throw stones at me!

Northstar 952 on the boat. Samsung Instinct phone GPS used in the car. The Instinct blows away the I-Phone BTW. A 76csx is on the way for use on vacation and other boats.

Re: What brand(s) of GPS do you own?

I have the colorado 400t. I have loaded it with all the maps topo's and City Navigator. It had a hard learning curve, but now that I have owned and used it for about 6 months, I really like it and it does all that I need a gps to do. I am now working a contract in Yellowstone National Park for 4 month's and hope to get a lot of backpacking and hiking in. If I can answer any other questions please let me know. Internet reception up here is sporadic at best, so be patient with me.

Re: What brand(s) of GPS do you own?

anyone have the infamous "restart your gps for better performance" message on thier magellan roadmate/maestro? mine has not had this yet.

I am pleased with all 3 of my units, however I have not taken the garmin or magellan on a longer trip then 4 hours long.

I am also impressed with the tom-tom unit. I thought teleatlas's data was bad a few years ago, but they have improved so much and I feel bad for them becuase google dumped them in the us

the magellan unit did excellent with columbus oh! I was impressed.

the garmin did great for my cincinatti trip. but very agressive route the return trip.

Re: What brand(s) of GPS do you own?

My garmin will not hold charges. I might have to bury it in the back yard. No support since got it from the paper for dirt cheap (20 bucks cheap so not out much) Garmin-I shall miss you. I shall post a pic with a daisy soon. LOL>

Re: What brand(s) of GPS do you own?

I have now added a Garmin 3210 as a permanent mount on my boat. I love the dual screen capability with the Garmin Sounder. A satelite receiver came in the package but I did not install that.

Nokia is sooo cool becuase they own NAVTEQ! Now and they have access to thier maps for free so they give you free maps for thier phones. Totally awesome. Plus thier OSes are more open.
