| Looks like the Garmin Nuvi 750 wins
My wife and I went to Fry's Electronics to check out GPS units today. Fairly wide selection, and usually very competitive pricing. Fry's is a MegaWarehouse type operation, like Costco or Sam's Club except no membership. I was very surprised that they are asking $599 for the 750! Amazon has it for $427. Okay, it isn't really Amazon, it is AntOnline selling through Amazon, still, that is a hefty difference! Fry's had a placard for the Mio C720t, but it said "Coming Soon". They did not have any to view or handle. They are asking too much for it, too. So I'll be ordering the Nuvi 750 shortly. Do you guys have preferences for where to order them? I figure if anything goes wrong with the unit I'll probably be dealing with Garmin anyway, so not sure if vendor makes a great deal of difference (as long as they have a good feedback history). Thanks - David |

Thanks Andy. I went ahead and ordered it from ANTOnline through Amazon. If they ship tomorrow, I'll probably get it by Friday. I think I can last that long... I'll keep you all posted. |

Sigh... ![]() UPS tracking on my Garmin nuvi shows "exception". Which is apparently "UPS Speak" for "we know it is here, somewhere... but where?". No idea when I'll get it, now. |

I hate when that happens. You could try them on the phone to see. It probably missed a truck or something.

Hay, hi guys, I thought the 750 was discontinued. Are they still selling them? I really love mine. Have had it for a couple of years. I use mainly it when we travel south for the winter and got it because of it's ability to announce the next turn giving the name of the street and will let me set up my own routing but you really need MapSource to plan and setup the routes in the computer & download them to the GPS. How come you picked the 750? Just curious...
