Re Calculating

Seems my Garmin Nuvie 1300 has been acting a fool lately. As I ride along to my programed destination it will tell me to take say the next left which I do, but then it says "Re Calculating"

What would cause it to re calculate even though you take the right turns?

Right now I have the unit turned off, I usually leave it on 24/7

Re: Re Calculating

Yes, my GPSMAP 76CSx does the same thing. Two weeks ago I was on a highway going north to a camp site (and returning). I was following exactly the route indicated on the GPS. I wasn't even on any side road or lessor highway when the GPS would suddenly recalcuate. Eventually, it figured where I was again and I was ok.

I think maybe some highway constructions may not be picked up right away. Maps are only as good as what they can acquire when all maps are updated. I figure up-to-date maps can already be out-of-date with new and revised roads as much as two years.
