Problems w/MapSource

Hello, I am new to this forum, and have a problem.
I have a Nuvi 260 that I got April, 2008. I'm happy with it, so far. My problem is with the MapSource program (City Navigator North America NT 2008, Deluxe All Regions, Apr 07). Everything was fine until I attempted to upgrade it (nüMaps Onetime™ City Navigator® North America NT 2011). It took several hours to download and install. When it finished, I attempted to start it, and when it came up the map screen was blank...no map graphics. I have searched everything I can find, to no avail. I did get one error message while messing with it. It said, "This is an unsupported OS version. Must be Windows XP SP3 or greater. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium with SP2. It worked fine on this computer before the upgrade. I decided to try to uninstall the upgrade and re-install the older version, but I can't find my original CD.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

If your CN NA NT 2008 or one time upgrade 2011 was registered with Garmin in the myGarmin site, contact Garmin and they'll send you a link that will help you download and install the updates.

Yes, the latest update to MapSource required Win SP3...for XP, so I'm not sure about Vista. That's actually what got me to finally install it. The web/map update probably tried to force an auto-upgrade, which is pretty much par for the course with everything Garmin. Maybe try upgrading to Vista SP3 (if there is such a thing) and try again?

Thanks. SP2 is the latest Vista SP, so I'm up to date (they would like me to upgrade to Windows 7, but if I decided to do that, I would just get a new laptop with it already installed, which wouldn't help me with the Mapsource problem, since I can't find my CD).
I did send a report to Garmin, but haven't received any reply yet.

Let us know what you find out and if you get it running. It would be really strange of Garmin not to support the most updated version of one of Window's latest operating systems when the older XP OS works just fine.

If worse comes to worse,telephone Garmin and ask for IT support and give them access to your computer. I did that once and they fixed CN NA NT update/upgrade problem.
