| Navigating saved routes on Streetpilot 2730
Hi, I've tried using saved route to navigate and got completely confused. Here's what I have done: 1. Create route in Google Maps 2. Convert it to GPX using GMAPtoGPX 3. "Simplify it" using GPSBabel 4. Load it up to the GPS using EasyGPS After this, I can see the route and all the points in the GPS. However, when I try to navigate it, the only thing I see are straight lines from one point to another, with generic instruction like "Northwest to point <blah>". How do I make the GPS to actually navigate from previous point in the route to the next? Thanks, -MB |

Do you have your GPS set for direct route (that is like an airplane) or "auto-routing"? You should be able to change it in Edit-Preferences-Routing

I know it's a pain, but have you tried putting those same points in manually to build the same route directly on the unit to see what it does? Sorry I don't have an answer for you, but I do have a 2720 and I'm interested in the answer. Never tried to do routes that way.
