Re: Nuvi 765T External Speaker

Yes. Many car stereos have an "Aux In" jack. All you need is a male-male 3.5mm stereo cable in most cases. If your car doesn't have an audio input like that, but has a cassette deck, you can buy cassette deck adapters. There's also little battery powered amplified speakers (designed for use with little MP3 players & such) you can get. Plus, there's also good old earphones. If you want specific advice on what to get, let me know what types of devices you're interested in.

Re: Nuvi 765T External Speaker

Hi Humvee:
What I'd like to do is plug in an amplified speaker into my Garmin 765T audio output that is 12 volt powered rather than battery operated. This way I would never have to mess with batteries and have better quality sound for when I'm using my bluetooth cell phone or hearing the gps directions. Do you know of any available.
Thank you for taking the time to answer this.

You're welcome, MikenJudy. Your powered speakers probably already has the needed audio cable. If not, you can find them at Radio Shack or online....

Re: Nuvi 765T External Speaker

Hi again Humvee:
I tried out some battery powered speakers at Radio Shack and they sounded awful. Do you have any recommendation for any particular ones?
Its a shame that the sound quality in my old Street Pilot 2720 is better quality than the new 765T. Have a good day.

Re: Nuvi 765T External Speaker

Can you tell me which ones you tried out? Or what your price range is? There are some awesome battery powered speakers you can get, designed for iPod's or other digital music players - but I doubt you want to spend $200 for the ultra-high fidelity systems....
