How to add only a viapoint, not a waypoint?

When creating a custom route, how does one specify whether an in-between location is a viapoint versus how to specify if it's a waypoint? I've found sometimes when I create a custom route that I want to go down certain streets I end up with all these orange flags. Then, while traveling that route there are extra commands (i.e. approaching waypoint such-a-such) when I don't need/want to hear that as it was only added to tell the unit that I wanted go down *this* road instead of *that* road. If I delete the orange flag location then it recomputes the route down roads I'd rather not use.

This is with a 255WT and a 755T specifically.

FrankL, I'm afraid you'll have to learn to live with it. As far as I know, your GPS unit will announce any via point or waypoint it approaches. There's no way I know of to create "silent" points that don't trigger turn announcements. But then, I tend to used this method of forcing paths when I'm riding my bike, and I just turn the sound off....
