Garmin GPSmap 60cx

Just purchased the 60cx. I purchased it for the purpose of using it for kayak fishing. Will also use it on the motorcycle. The loaded map pretty much sucks. Does anyone have any advice on maps. Do I have to purchase the expensive maps from Garmin or are there other options? I would like to have both the land and sea for Florida.

Re: Garmin GPSmap 60cx

drago49, there are free enthusiast maps available. Check out GPSFileDepot. The topos are pretty good. I haven't tried the Ibycus USA road map. I would say that the professionally produced maps sold by Garmin are the best - but of course you have to pay for those....
