765T Bluetooth pairing

Hi,

I just bought a refurb 765T online and am currently trying to get it to pair with my phone. It pairs with the phone fine (although for some reason my phone, a VZW Samsung Alias 2, tells me incorrect password before I even try to enter the pair key, but it works after I enter it). However, all audio from the GPS totally drops off when I am making a phone call (microphone does not work either).

Couple of things:

This happens both when MAKING and RECEIVING calls.

This phone worked perfect with my old Nuvi 660

I have tried doing the reset where you touch the borrom right of the nuvi during startup

Additionally, I found that I can eventually make the sound come back on by playing with the "send audio to phone/send audio to unit" button a couple of times

Note: I updated the firmware today already

Anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking one of a few things:

1. Incompatibility between my phone model and the nuvi's bluetooth stack (my boyfriend has the same model phone and his is doing the same thing on my nuvi) However, I feel like it should still work if it worked with my 660
2. Some sort of software glitch that can be fixed by reloading the firmware (no idea how to do this)
3.This was the reason the unit was sent back to garmin, and it was just marked fixed and refurbished and is in fact still broken (what I'm leaning towards)
