| Topo Maps on Vista HCx
I am wanting to get some topo maps for my Vista HCx because I will be using it more off road then on road, and I was wondering if any one has picture of what the topo's look like on the Vista. Are they easy to read? Also I would really like to have the new 24k topo's but they don't have them for my area yet and its going to be at least a couple of months before Garmin produces them. Does anyone have the 100k topo's and how well do they like them. -dbnorton |

| Re: Topo Maps on Vista HCx dbnorton, Topo 24K maps are huge, so be sure to get at least a 2 GB microSD card for your Garmin eTrex Vista HCx. It's interesting that there's no Garmin Topo 24K maps for your area yet - hopefully they'll be rolling out soon. In the mean time, it looks like Topo US 100K DVD is your best bet. If you the View Map tab, then click on Kentucky, a pop-up window will appear that will allow you to zoom in and see exactly what the topo map data looks like.
