| Which Garmin GPS?
I am looking to get a GPS very soon. I plan to use it both on my motorcycle and in our vehicles. The bike came with a Touratech mount and prewired for a 27xx series Garmin (I think). It also has a puck style XM antenna mount and is wired for XM power. I will probably use the XM a fair amount. Is the 2730 with XM user friendly, and do the features of the 2730 compare well with the 2720? Is it better overall to get the XM separate or intergrated as in the 2730? Thanks! |

Hmm, does your FJR have the TT mounted on a center bar or ram type of setup? the 'puck mount' for the XM would be good - for XM Personally I would leave the two units seperate. I will have to check the feature set specifically and get back to you |

The mount uses a bar from the bottom center to a tapped hole in the steering stem nut. I am techno impaired (probably should have gone with "Nongeek"), so maybe the sperate units would be easier to use, since I can manage the XM recievers we have now. |
