Car battery died - GPS Gone?? (Kenwood/Garmin Combo)

Hi all. A couple years back I bought a used truck that had Kenwood DDX-7015 and Garmin G510 combo already installed in it. I found myself really liking the GPS and use it all the time (even though the maps seem to be a little outdated, I can usually figure it out).

A few days ago I left the lights on and the battery drained all the way down. I jumped it, let it run for about a half and hour and now it seems to have charged back up. Everything is working fine EXCEPT the GPS. It seems to have disappeared and I've tried everything I can think of but it won't even show up on the screen.

Because I bought the truck used, I don't have a manual, so I was hoping someone had an idea of what I could do to get it back working again.

Thanks in advance.

Is only the GPS function not working or the entire Kenwood DDX-7015 not powering up? It's possible a fuse for the G510 might be blown.

It's just the GPS, everything else on the Kenwood unit is working fine.
Thanks for the reply!

Since nothing to do with the GPS is showing up on the screen, it sounds like the G510 doesn't have power. Do you know where it is mounted in the truck? You might be able to trace the wiring to see if there is a fuse that is blown.

I don't know exactly where it is, but it does involve tearing the dash apart!
