nuvi 885T volume low?

the volume is very hard to hear especially compared to the nuvi 760
is this a common issue?
I figure it would be better since it has 2 speakers

Re: nuvi 885T volume low?

I also have the same problem and I am told that garmin will deny they can change it but there are some programers/hackers that can change the voice level and even what the lady on garmin say's but I have yet to find it.

TTS Voice Editor

Here is the link for the TTSVoiceEditor, which allows Garmin users to change the VOLUME of their speaker voices, as well as change SPECIFIC WORDS AND PHRASES (once downloaded, it has instructions):

Re: nuvi 885T volume low?

I'm sorry but I do not see a 885 T download.
Thanks

855 is supported by TTS Voice Editor

Near the top of the TTS Voice Editor instruction/description screen, under the heading "Model Compatibility," you will find the following models listed:

Nuvi 7x0, 255W, 260, 3x0, 6x0, 8x0, 1490
Nuvi 7x5, 255W, 265, 3x5, 6x5, 8x5

Your 855 is covered by the term "8x5"

Re: nuvi 885T volume low?

Thank you so very much for being so helpful to me. I have not tried it as yet but I figured I better thank you right away . It is so nice that there are people in this world that still take time out to help others.
Thanks again.

Correction

Whooops, I did mean the 885 (not 855); I am pleased to say that the increased volume on my 855 has been just fine since I adjusted it a year ago!
