Deleting Waypoints

Hi,
I have a Garmin Etrex (basic yellow model)

I would like to delete all the waypoints in only one section. ie I would like to delete all the waypoints contained in section '0-9' only.

There is the option to delete each waypoint one at a time in this section and also an option to 'delete all'
If I select 'delete all' will this also delete the waypoints in all the other sections as well? eg 'A-D' 'E-H' etc., etc.

Thanks for any advice.

Welcome to the site, Geo.

I don't have an eTrex, but I bet it would delete waypoints from all sections, just from the sound of it.

Can you hook it up and transfer to a PC? MapSource can do what you want, deleting ranges of waypoints.

Thanks for the reply Dav. Yes that's what I suspect too, and don't want to lose all my other waypoints. Unfortunately can't hook up to a pc, so looks like I'm always going to have to go through each point and delete one at a time.
